Questions We’re Often Asked
What is the difference between the TRC cabinet collections?
Casa offers locally built custom painted cabinetry. Signature is our most versatile custom hardwood collection, offering a wide range of wood species, stains, door styles, and design options. Painted MDF is also available for projects requiring additional custom door styles. Luxe focuses on premium Walnut and White Oak cabinetry. Summit by TRC provides framed semi-custom cabinetry with a more streamlined selection of styles and finishes, while Revive updates qualifying existing cabinetry with replacement doors and drawer fronts.
Which collections offer painted cabinets?
Casa is designed specifically for custom painted cabinetry, with smooth, paint-grade doors available in any Sherwin-Williams® paint color or a custom color match. Signature also offers custom painted finishes along with hardwood options. Summit by TRC includes a curated selection of prefinished painted styles and colors.
Does TRC offer custom wood cabinetry?
Yes. Signature and Luxe are our locally built custom wood cabinetry collections. Signature offers several hardwood species with a wide range of stains, finishes, door styles, and design options. Luxe focuses specifically on premium Walnut and White Oak for projects where the natural character of the wood is a major part of the design.
What cabinet wood species does TRC offer?
Our Signature collection includes Alder, Maple, Red Oak, Cherry, and Hickory. Luxe specializes in Walnut and White Oak. Because our custom collections are built locally, we can help customers compare the appearance and characteristics of different woods in our White Bear Lake showroom.
Are TRC cabinets built locally?
Our Casa, Signature, and Luxe custom cabinetry collections are built locally at our shop in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Customers who visit our showroom can also see where these collections are made. Summit by TRC is our semi-custom collection and is not manufactured in-house.
Can I see cabinet samples before choosing a collection?
Yes. Visit our White Bear Lake showroom to compare door styles, wood species, paint colors, stains, finishes, hardware, and construction options in person. Seeing and feeling the differences between collections can make it much easier to decide which option is right for your project. We recommend contacting us before visiting so someone is available to help you.
